My Admissions Advisor/Education Consultant, Ashleigh Mowbray, was extremely helpful. She provided insights into what courses MedCertify offers and why they are valuable. She also made the coordination with MyCAA flawless and easy to navigate. I chose MedCertify because it provided me the ability to gain certification in the career field I am pursuing and because it is a program that works with MySECO and MyCAA.

I enjoyed the layout of the course, specifically how the lectures and labs worked together. Going through a lecture followed by the corresponding labs helped to both support what was discussed in the lecture and gain some exposure to what programs looked like and how they functioned.

My favorite course was Security+. I began this journey into Information Technology specifically to pursue the cybersecurity field. Security+ gave excellent insight into cybersecurity concepts and tied together the security aspects of A+ and Network+ very well.
I am a former Texas State Trooper with a Bachelor’s degree in International Studies and a Master’s degree in Business Administration. I was honorably discharged from my law enforcement career when I moved overseas with my husband on his military orders. I taught as an English Second Language teacher for the three years we were stationed overseas. Once we moved back to the United States earlier in 2024, I decided to pursue a career field that would be easier for me to stay within for future military moves and that would provide job security. I am very excited to continue pursuing my goal to enter into cybersecurity; the areas of Managed Detection and Response and Business Sales are most intriguing for me. Thank you MedCertify for helping to get me started on this path!
